Market Monday
Join us every Monday as we get to know the vendors from The Market: A Journey to Joy
This week we want to introduce you all to…
One Eyed Buzzard
Check them out on Facebook!
When did you open your business?
Been in several stores and doing vending shows for over 8 years.
What is your business all about?
My significant other, George, and I create jewelry, sun catchers, garden stakes, greeting cards and various other items made from wire, up-cycled items, semiprecious stones, wood, etc. George made all of our displays in our room at The Market.
What is one thing you want to make sure locals know about your business?
That we put a piece of our heart in every item we create. It’s thrilling to visit The Market and see someone carrying one of your items to purchase. That doesn’t ever get old!
What is your favorite part about being a part of The Market?
The moment we listened to Katie and her dream of The Market; we knew we wanted to be a part of it. It felt like home. She makes every one of us feel important. I’d have to say then, that Katie is my favorite part.
What is your favorite part about being located in the Quad Cities?
There’s such a plethora of things to do and experience in the QCA. It continues to grow and grow. We love it here.
Who are the individuals who will benefit most from your products/services?
Anyone who wears jewelry! And kids, too. We have a table dedicated to the younger folk. Also, for people looking for gifts to give. It’s always more special when they’re handmade.
Is there anything you would like to add?
Also a shout-out to the gentlemen who own the building. Being in a wheelchair, they’ve gone above and beyond to be accommodating. So nice! Oh, and I can’t forget Deb and Doug, Katie’s parents. They’re the best!!
Stay tuned for next week’s Market Monday where we continue to get to know more vendors at The Market: A Journey to Joy!
