Complete Nutrition QC is located on the Iowa side of the Quad Cities in Davenport on East Kimberly. Complete Nutrition is a one-stop-shop when it comes to your fitness and health goals! They offer a wide range of high quality supplements, goal and lifestyle based personal meal plans, health and fitness coaching and body composition testing! They staff trained personal consultants and health coaches who are there to help you; whatever your goal or need is! Whether you are looking for comprehensive services to help you reach your goals, (in which case you should check out their Complete Health Coaching) or you are just looking for top of the line supplements for muscle building, weight loss, or general health, they have a trained consultant waiting to help you make the right purchase!
This is a great facility, dedicated to helping each customer, personally, reach their overall fitness and health goals. Owner, Adam Neeley, spoke with us about what this business means to him and why he chose to pursue helping others with their fitness journeys.
How did you get started in nutrition?
I started working for Complete Nutrition in 2012 after graduating from the University of Northern Iowa. It went from being just a part-time job to a full-time management position, which then ended up in me buying the store in 2015 from the previous owner I had been working for.
When did you know you wanted to create a business out of this? 
After working for Complete for a few months and realizing the satisfaction that comes from helping people improve their overall fitness and health, I knew it was something I wanted to pursue further. However, not owning the store myself did put some limitations on what I could do. I wanted to be able to provide a more than just supplements. I knew if I could integrate in a healthy lifestyle and nutritional coaching option for people along with the high-quality supplements to help them reach their goals it would be much more beneficial to the customer.
What makes your small business unique?
Being locally owned and operated helps us connect with other customers and clients on a much more personal level. When it comes to finding the best solution to reaching and maintaining fitness and health goals everyone is different. We pride ourselves on taking the time to fully understand each and every person goals and current lifestyle. Doing this allows us to get each individual the best supplements, nutritional and fitness information to optimize the journey towards achieving and maintaining their goals.
What is your favorite part about being in the nutrition field?
Being able to help people make changes that not only can completely change all aspects of their life, but everyone’s life’s around them!
If the Quad Cities needed to know one thing about your small business, what would it be?
That no matter your goal we are here to help you achieve it! From women and men trying to lose weight and just live a healthier lifestyle. To individuals looking to build muscle and improve performance we can help you reach those goals.
Why did you choose to pursue running your own business as opposed to working for someone else?
It gives me the freedom to work with the community in a more personal way. I can be much more flexible in providing our customers with the right products and information to help them reach their goals without having to fit into the mold of a big corporate structure.
What is your favorite part about being located in the Quad Cities?
I am from the area so being able to help provide a service to better the community through health and fitness and improve the quality of life of the people living around me is my favorite part!
How long has your business been running?
I have owned the business for 3 ½ years and worked for Complete Nutrition for 2 ½ before purchasing the store I was managing!
Is there anything you would like to see more of in the QC?
More people taking the plunge into living a healthier lifestyle, which is part of what we are trying to push in the community!
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I have lived in the area my whole life, I am originally from Clinton, IA and currently live there with my wife and 4-year-old daughter. We are expecting another little in March as well!
